Ramblings of an idiot... by Josh Kilbourn , San Francisco, CA
Exiled by greed, lust and self torment. Bestowed ignorance.
Swallowed up, consumed by compulsion.
If it was 258 A.D. I would be a Pirate, sailing with the Gothic-Herulic fleet.
Ravaging towns coast to coast, with a multitude of slaves and wenches.
Historically I'd be the esteemed hero of every child's story book.
One of absolute folklore and legend. Nay they say, not in this glorious Century.
Imprisoned by contradictions. Seventeen hundred years ago I would have ranked with high merit.
The Devil adores this too much, he'd have a torrid love affair with me, if it wasn't for the calamity of High-exposure-tabloids. Nay taboo!
Ordinary tales of a White man gone sour, with a dribble of dignity...
Aimless in direction. A deluge of snuffed spirits.
Disheartened captives on planet Earth. Men with help from the Gods, disembowel their best instincts. World-class Regulators, dictate the meek with hell-bent persuasion. Toxic air used as weapons, troughs over flow with poisonous kernels. We ingest.
Who are criminal? Indeed who are the righteous?
This. Living in social redundancy, continually humping the current trend.
Cruel remarks in a world, simply gone mad. Ineffable futility.
Cast a new perception leading upwards and outwards. Onwards, the future is here; subdued and sublime. Ineffectual and without passion.

Josh Kilbourn lives in the San Francisco Bay area, but spends most of his time roaming the northern and southern continents. Currently, he is working on a collection of prose. Several of his works have been published, most recently in West Memphis Witch Hunt. Poems supporting the West Memphis Three Defense.
